Partey, Paintsil, Osman pull out of Sudan double-header

The Black Stars of Ghana will be without captain Thomas Partey, who has withdrawn from the Sudan double-header due to medical reasons.
According to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the Arsenal midfielder, who played against Southampton over the weekend, will undergo a medical examination in the coming days.
In addition, Joseph Paintsil, who missed the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Niger due to paperwork issues, has withdrawn from the most recent team owing to a hamstring problem.
Reports indicate that Paintsil injured his hamstring in his most recent game for LA Galaxy and has since undergone an MRI. Ibrahim Osman’s club, Feyenoord, has also informed the GFA that their player will not be available, while Kingsley Schindler is receiving treatment for a medical emergency.
However, Black Stars coach Otto Addo has called up Michael Baidoo, Abu Francis, Jonas Adjetey, and Ibrahim Sadick to replace the injured players.
The Black Stars are set to face Sudan on Thursday, October 1, 2024, at the Accra Sports Stadium, with the reverse fixture scheduled for Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
