Ghana begins AFCON 2025 qualifiers against Angola in September

The Black Stars of Ghana will begin their journey to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola with a blockbuster clash against Angola in Kumasi in September.
The dates for the qualifying matches to Morocco 2025 has been released by the Confederation of African Football, with the games beginning in September and ending in November 2025, barring any last-minute changes.
Ghana will open the qualifiers with a game against Angola on September 2nd before travelling to Niger a week later for the second match of Group F.
The team will return to action the following month with a game against Sudan on October 7 in Kumasi.
The Black Stars will travel to Sudan the following week to face the same opponents on matchday 4 of the qualifiers.
In November, Ghana will travel to Angola for the fifth match of the group on November 11 before completing the qualifiers with a home clash with West African rivals Niger.
The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco will begin on December 21, 2025, and end on January 19, 2026.

The top two teams from the group will qualify for the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco next year. Otto Addo’s men are in search of a ticket to the biggest football tournament on African soil having previously won the title in 1963, 1965, 1978 and 1982.
