In anticipation of the forthcoming Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON), the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the Black Queens would embark on a nine-day training tour in Senegal.
The training tour will include two international friendly matches versus the Teranga Lionesses of Senegal in Dakar during the April FIFA window.
The two games between the Black Queens and Teranga Lionesses would be played within a few days of one another, according to coach Kim Lars Björkegren’s timetable.
This training tour follows a similar camp organized by the GFA for the Black Queens during the February FIFA window in Morocco.
These training tours are part of the senior women’s national team’s buildup to the WAFCON, scheduled to take place in Morocco from July 5-26, 2025.
Coach Kim Lars Björkegren would use this opportunity to assess and expand his pool of players ahead of the WAFCON.
