Bawumia, NPP kick off nationwide thank you tour

The 2024 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is set to lead the Party on a nationwide “Thank You Tour” beginning Saturday, April 26, 2025.
Backed by the full endorsement of the NPP’s National Council, the tour aims to express deep appreciation to party supporters and the general public for their unwavering support during the 2024 electoral season.
Themed “In All Things, Give Thanks to God” (1 Thessalonians 5:18), the tour underscores the NPP’s commitment to its faith-based values and acknowledges what the party describes as divine guidance through a demanding political journey.
Dr. Bawumia and his team view the tour as more than a political engagement—it’s a spiritual and communal reflection on a season of trials, victories, and hope.

Strengthening party-base connections
According to the party’s leadership, the nationwide tour is also a platform to reinforce the relationship between the NPP’s national leadership and its grassroots.
Through regional and constituency gatherings, the party aims to deepen bonds with supporters, celebrate shared achievements, and build momentum for the road ahead.
The tour will begin in the Western Region on April 26 and conclude in the Central Region on June 4.
Over this period, all sixteen regions will host events bringing together members of the NPP and its sympathisers.

Ashanti Region to host 3-day event
Recognising the political significance of the Ashanti Region, the NPP has dedicated a special three-day programme to the area, scheduled from April 29 to May 1.
As one of the party’s strongholds, the region is expected to witness a high turnout and will serve as a strategic hub for the Thank You Tour’s message of unity and gratitude.

Interfaith Thanksgiving
In a demonstration of the party’s inclusive values, the nationwide exercise will be capped with interfaith national thanksgiving services, comprising both Christian and Islamic observances.
These closing ceremonies are intended to symbolise national cohesion and the party’s recognition of Ghana’s religious diversity.

A call to all supporters
The NPP is encouraging all members and sympathisers to take an active part in the regional and constituency events as a show of solidarity.
The leadership stressed that the tour is not only about appreciation but also a time for reflection and renewal as the party prepares for the future.
“As we give thanks for how far we’ve come, we also prepare for where we are going,” a statement from the NPP headquarters said. “Unity and gratitude must remain at the heart of our journey forward.”
The Thank You Tour is expected to boost morale, energise the party’s grassroots, and lay the groundwork for continued engagement ahead of the 2028 general elections.
