Boakye Agyarko, an aspirant for the NPP National Chairmanship, has appointed Henry Quartey as Campaign Manager and Joseph Osei-Owusu as Senior Campaign Advisor as he prepares for the party’s internal elections.

The appointments, announced in a statement on April 3, 2026, during a meeting with campaign volunteers, are intended to strengthen the campaign’s leadership and strategic direction.

Quartey, a former Interior Minister and MP for Ayawaso Central, is known for his background in public service and security, while Osei-Owusu—widely known as Joe Wise—brings experience as a former First Deputy Speaker of Parliament and MP for Bekwai.

According to the campaign, the move underscores Agyarko’s commitment to a grassroots-driven approach, drawing on the political and organisational expertise of both appointees.

Their roles are expected to enhance mobilisation efforts and provide strong guidance as the campaign takes shape.

The statement further revealed that both Quartey and Osei-Owusu support Agyarko’s vision to “rebuild, restructure, and rebrand” the NPP in preparation for the 2028 general elections, with the aim of securing victory for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

A full campaign team, including specialists in communications, research, and operations, is expected to be announced in the coming days. The statement was signed by campaign spokesperson Vincent Frimpong Manu.
