The Parliament of Ghana is set to formally open the Parliamentary Museum to the public on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. The museum doors will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Persons who would like to visit the museum are encouraged to book their place on Parliament’s official website by visiting https://www.parliament.gh, clicking ‘Visit,’ then ‘Museum,’ and completing and submitting the form provided. They will then be notified of their approval by message.

According to the statement announcing the opening, the museum will house a curated collection tracing the evolution of Ghana’s Parliament, including historical photographs, documents and records of past proceedings.

Other exhibits include artefacts and memorabilia belonging to former Speakers, archival materials on the Legislative Council and Ghana’s constitutional milestones, ceremonial and symbolic items associated with Parliament, and interactive multimedia exhibits on the law-making process and the history of governance in the country.

The museum, which is a landmark legacy project of the Speaker, Rt. Alban Bagbin, is expected to serve as a valuable resource for a wide range of stakeholders, including students, tourists and cultural visitors, Members of Parliament and parliamentary staff, international partners and the general public.
