Ghana Premier League action on Saturday produced exciting results across several venues, with Nations FC recording a dominant victory over Bechem United, while Vision FC secured a convincing win against Berekum Chelsea. Meanwhile, defending champions FC Samartex 1996 were held to a goalless draw by Dreams FC.

Nations FC overpower Bechem United

Nations FC produced a commanding display to secure an emphatic 3–0 victory over Bechem United at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese.

The hosts started brightly and wasted little time asserting their dominance.

Their early pressure paid off in the 10th minute when Emmanuel Annor unleashed a powerful strike to give Nations FC a deserved lead.

Buoyed by the opener, the home side continued to dictate the tempo of the game while forcing the visitors onto the defensive. Their persistence paid off just before the break when Abdela Mashud doubled the lead in the 44th minute, calmly tapping home from close range after a well-worked attacking move set up by Brandon Antwi.

After the restart, Bechem United attempted to reorganise and push forward but struggled to break down a disciplined Nations FC defence that remained compact and well organised.

The hosts sealed the victory deep into stoppage time when Richard Danso produced a superb strike in the 91st minute, capping an outstanding team performance and sending the home supporters into celebration.

The victory lifts Nations FC to eighth place on the league table as they strengthen their push for a top-half finish, while Bechem United remain 13th following the defeat.

Samartex frustrated by resilient Dreams

At the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samreboi, FC Samartex 1996 and Dreams FC played out a goalless draw in their Matchweek 25 encounter.

Samartex entered the game determined to end a four-game winless run, but they were frustrated by a disciplined Dreams FC side that defended resolutely throughout the match.

Despite enjoying long spells of possession and controlling large portions of the game, the Timber Giants struggled to create clear scoring chances against the organised Dreams backline.

Dreams FC’s defensive resilience earned them a valuable point, lifting them to 11th place with 31 points as they continue their efforts to steer clear of the relegation zone.

In their next fixture, Samartex will travel to face Techiman Eleven Wonders, while Dreams FC will host Medeama SC.
