In line with Article 78 of the 1992 Constitution, President John Dramani Mahama has submitted the names of three nominees for key ministerial positions to the Speaker of Parliament for approval.
The nominees, Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson-Minister of Finance, John Abdulai Jinapor-Energy Minister, and Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine- Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, bring exceptional expertise and experience to their designated roles.
Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson
Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson is a seasoned economist and chartered accountant with a remarkable track record in public finance and fiscal management.
He has served in Parliament for five consecutive terms, reflecting his extensive experience in policymaking and governance.
Dr. Forson holds a PhD in Finance from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and dual Master of Science degrees in Taxation and Economics from the University of Oxford and KNUST, respectively.
His academic credentials are further bolstered by a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from London South Bank University.
Renowned for his expertise in macroeconomics, fiscal policy, and taxation, Dr. Forson is expected to bring stability and strategic direction to Ghana’s financial sector.

John Abdulai Jinapor

He holds a Master of Arts in Economic Policy Management and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Ghana.
In addition, he has a Master of Science in Development Finance from the same institution, a Master of Science in Energy Economics from GIMPA, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Financial Law from the University of London.
Jinapor’s diverse qualifications position him as a pivotal figure in revitalizing the energy sector, addressing challenges such as energy sustainability, affordability, and access.
Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine
Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine is a distinguished legal practitioner with over 30 years of experience. As the founding partner of Ayini & Partners Law Offices, his extensive legal expertise spans various areas of law.
He previously served as Deputy Attorney General and Minister for Justice, showcasing his competence in managing legal affairs at the national level.
Dr. Ayine holds a Ph.D. in Law from Stanford University, a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Michigan Law School, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Ghana.
His illustrious career also includes a long tenure as a lecturer at the University of Ghana Law School, where he mentored countless legal professionals.
With his profound understanding of the law and governance, Dr. Ayine is well-equipped to uphold justice and ensure the rule of law in Ghana.
