The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has conducted a guard of honour for Major General William Agyapong, the new Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).
This marked Maj. Gen. Agyapong’s first visit to the Police Headquarters since assuming office on Monday, March 24, 2025.
Following the ceremony, the leadership of the GPS and GAF held a meeting to reaffirm their commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration to address Ghana’s security needs.
They particularly resolved to maintain peace and order in Bawku, following a recent clash between the police and youth that resulted in one casualty and damage to property.
Maj. Gen. Agyapong was received by the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, along with members of the Police Management Board.
