Reigning Miss Grand Ghana, Faith Porter, has paid a courtesy call on Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Victor Emmanuel Smith, at the Embassy of Ghana in Washington, D.C., as part of her international engagements after the Miss Grand pageant.
The visit formed part of efforts by the beauty queen to officially introduce herself and share the vision and advocacy behind the Miss Grand Ghana pageant, while also strengthening ties with Ghana’s diplomatic mission in the United States.
Faith Porter, who was born in the United States but later traced her DNA roots to Ghana, described the visit as a deeply meaningful moment in her journey.
She explained that representing Ghana on the global stage carries a special personal significance, as it connects her identity, heritage, and passion for cultural representation.
During the meeting, Miss Porter briefed the Ambassador on the mission of the Miss Grand Ghana platform, which focuses on promoting peace, youth empowerment, cultural exchange, and national pride.

She also highlighted her commitment to showcasing Ghana’s rich culture, tourism potential, and the resilience of its people as she prepared for the international competition.
H.E. Victor Emmanuel Smith warmly received the Miss Grand Ghana queen and commended her for embracing her Ghanaian roots and taking up the responsibility of representing the nation globally.
He emphasised the importance of diaspora engagement and praised her dedication to promoting Ghana’s image and values on the world stage.
The Ambassador encouraged her to continue using her platform to inspire young people and serve as a positive cultural ambassador for Ghana. He also assured her of the Embassy’s support as she prepares to assist other potential people to compete internationally.
Faith Porter expressed appreciation for the warm reception and the encouragement from the Embassy, noting that the visit strengthened her resolve to make Ghana proud.
