Following a two-week stint at the Apam Senior High as a guest teacher, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Gomoa West constituency, Richard Gyan-Mensah, has pledged to engage with all relevant stakeholders towards finding solutions to the challenges being faced by teachers and school authorities as well as students in the school.
He stated that although he has been a regular visitor to the school, this two-week tenure as a guest teacher has been a huge eye opener.
According to him, “I have learnt at firsthand, the challenges faced by the school, especially the staff and the students in the discharge of their duties and their learning processes respectively.”
The Gomoa West expressed his satisfaction with the conduct and sacrifices of the staff of the school, as well as their dedication and commitment towards shaping the future of their students.
Before becoming MP, Gyan-Mensah, a first-time MP who will be seeking re-election, had taught Mathematics and ICT at the Gomoa Dominase D/A Junior High School. He has also taught on a part time basis at the City Business College.
