The Government of Ghana has strongly condemned a drone attack at Dubai International Airport that left two Ghanaian nationals injured on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the two individuals sustained injuries during the incident.

Ghana’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates led a delegation from the Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate in Dubai to visit the injured nationals at the hospital. According to officials, their condition is non-critical, and they are expected to make a full recovery.

The government stressed that any act that endangers civilians or critical infrastructure is unacceptable, noting that such incidents underscore the urgent need to safeguard civilians and ensure the security of major international transport hubs.

In a statement, the ministry said it is closely monitoring developments and remains in contact with UAE authorities as necessary.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reiterated the government’s commitment to the welfare and protection of Ghanaian citizens abroad. It urged Ghanaians in the Gulf region to remain vigilant and to follow guidance issued by Ghanaian diplomatic missions and local authorities.

Additionally, the government is supporting ongoing consultations at the United Nations to develop a framework to better protect civilians from emerging security threats.
