Dzata Cement Limited has issued a strong warning to the public after a recent video surfaced online, allegedly showing substandard cement linked to the company’s brand.

In a statement signed by Managing Director Nafisa Mahama, the company clarified that the cement in question was not genuine Dzata Cement.

According to the company, fraudsters have been tampering with its packaging by opening authentic Dzata Cement bags, replacing the contents with inferior cement, and resealing them for resale.

It stressed that this criminal activity is not isolated to its brand, but is part of a broader challenge facing the cement industry in Ghana.

“Dzata Cement’s production quality remains unchanged. Every bag we manufacture undergoes strict quality control at our factory. The problem is criminal tampering, not Dzata’s product quality,” the statement emphasised.

The company assured its customers that swift action had already been taken, with the culprits apprehended through the support of law enforcement. Investigations into the matter are still ongoing.

To safeguard consumers, Dzata Cement has advised customers to purchase cement only from authorised distributors and retailers.

The public has also been encouraged to report any suspicious or tampered bags to the company’s hotline: +233 24 194 1846.

“We appreciate the trust you place in Dzata Cement,” the company stated, reaffirming its commitment to delivering high-quality cement proudly made in Ghana, while collaborating with industry stakeholders to fight fraud in the sector.
