Black Stars Head Coach Otto Addo has presented his technical report on Ghana’s inability to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to the Executive Council members of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Otto Addo, who has been heavily chastised for Ghana’s 2025 AFCON qualifying catastrophe, appeared before the Executive Council panel on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, to explain what went wrong in the qualifiers.
Information gathered by GNA Sports, indicates that Otto Addo would continue to coach the Black Stars after getting support from the majority of GFA’s Executive Council.
Also, the Executive Council pledged to give Otto Addo the necessary assistance to help him succeed as Black Stars coach especially with the 2026 World Cup qualifiers looming.
A possible appointment of Technical Advisor was discussed at the meeting, but the GFA is yet to make an official announcement.
The Black Stars would return to action in March 2025 to continue their qualification campaign for the 2026 World Cup.
Ghana who are currently level with Comoros on nine points in Group I, would play Chad and Madagascar in the next two qualifiers.
