Archbishop Dr. Charles Agyinasare, the Founder of Perez Chapel International, was formally inducted today as the President of the Bible Society of Ghana (BSG).
This marks a historic moment as he becomes the first President of the Society from the charismatic community.
He succeeds Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah, former Chairman of the Church of Pentecost and the immediate past President of BSG.
During the induction ceremony, held at Perez Chapel, Archbishop Agyinasare expressed his deep commitment to fulfilling the Society’s mandate of making the Bible widely available, affordable, and actively used to transform lives.
He called on churches, Christians, and para-church groups to collaborate in translating the Bible into various languages to ensure its accessibility in homes, schools, and public places.
The Archbishop outlined a four-goal agenda aimed at transforming the Society.
His first goal is to build a self-sustaining organization by creating a pool of financial and human resources through innovative means.
His second objective is to raise the profile of the Society, ensuring that influential figures appreciate its work.
Thirdly, he plans to engage church leaders to place the Bible at the heart of their ministries.
Lastly, he aims to promote the annual Bible Week celebration more vigorously.
Archbishop Agyinasare expressed that it is both a privilege and a responsibility to lead the BSG and contribute to its divine mission, which he believes is more urgent than ever.
He also commended the previous presidents and the staff of the Bible Society for laying a strong foundation for the organization.
The induction service’s sermon was delivered by Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
He urged Ghanaians, particularly Christians, to demonstrate commitment to their work and the nation, and to exhibit humility in their endeavors to experience God’s glory.
