Prophet Bernard Elbernard Nelson-Eshun has publicly apologised after a prophecy he made about the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries failed to come to pass.
In a statement titled ‘Public Statement & Apology,’ he conceded that his prophecy predicting Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong as the eventual winner of the NPP primaries and flagbearer was incorrect.
“That word did not come to pass. I missed it. I was wrong, I am deeply sorry, and I ask for your forgiveness,” he said.
According to the prophet, the declaration was made openly through a book, videos, and media interviews, where he spoke with what he termed “prophetic authority,” leading many to trust the message.
He admitted that the prophecy had emotional, spiritual, and political consequences, especially for those who took actions based on the prediction.
“I take full responsibility for this prophetic word,” Prophet Nelson-Eshun added, emphasising that he was not blaming anyone else or making excuses for the failed prophecy.
