According to Cudjoe, Mahama provided clear, factual, and forthright responses to pressing national issues, reflecting transparency and honesty in his communication with the public.

Speaking on Accra-based Citi FM on Saturday, September 13, 2025, Franklin Cudjoe noted that political discourse in Ghana is often clouded by propaganda and half-truths, but the performance of Mahama at the media encounter stood out as refreshing.

He said “My immediate impressions were clearly that this president was actually quite humane. He was truthful, he was wise, he was knowledgeable, he was practical and verifiably accountable.”

He further stated that Mahama’s openness could foster greater trust between politicians and citizens.

He stated that “I think one of the things we are witnessing in this era is essentially the fact that we have leaders who are willing to come forward, and I think John has been like that, by the way.”

Cudjoe also described the media encounter as “characteristically brilliant,” applauding the journalists involved for their professionalism and engagement.

President John Dramani Mahama reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, accountability, and results-oriented leadership, stressing that his government is on a mission to ‘reset agenda’ after years of economic decline, corruption, and widespread hardship.

Speaking at media engagement since taking office in January 2025, the President delivered a comprehensive update on national progress, outlining achievements in the economy, education, healthcare, agriculture, digital innovation, anti-corruption efforts, security, and infrastructure development.

Reflecting on his swearing-in eight months ago, Mahama described the 2024 elections as a “national reawakening” and a mandate for a new style of governance — one that listens, delivers, and restores dignity to public service.

Speaking on the economic reset and stability, Mahama said inflation has dropped from 23.8% in December 2024 to 11.5% in July 2025, exchange rate stabilised, cost of living eased, and credit rating upgraded to B- with stable outlook.

On power and energy security, Mahama said the government has averted dumsor, rescued the power sector, and approved a second gas processing plant (GPP-2) expected to save $500m every two years and create 1,000+ jobs.

Speaking on anti-corruption drive, he said ongoing prosecutions under Operation Recover All the Loot, with over 200 cases under investigation, including high-profile cases (SkyTrain, National Cathedral, Exim Bank). A new Code of Conduct for Public Officials and anti-corruption strategy have been launched.
