MTN Ghana marked Father’s Day with a dual-tier celebration designed to honour, reward, and delight its loyal male customers.

Leveraging the strength of its flagship MTN Rewards loyalty programme, the company rolled out two distinct reward experiences — one for all customers via the myMTN App, and the other as an exclusive engagement for selected high-value customers (HVCs).

The first tier of the celebration, open to all MTN customers, allowed customers to redeem points for exclusive lifestyle rewards, including shopping vouchers, fuel coupons, and premium MTN-branded souvenirs.

This offer was made available exclusively via the myMTN App, reinforcing the platform’s role as the hub for tactical and seasonal loyalty campaigns.

Complementing this was a bespoke experience tailored for MTN’s male HVCs’. These valued subscribers were handpicked to enjoy premium experiences, including:

  • A private movie screening at Golden Eagle Cinemas, complete with MTN-branded gift packs.
  • VIP access to the FA Cup Finals at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
  • Personalised shopping vouchers in Kumasi for tailored fashion experiences.

This tiered approach allowed MTN Ghana to reward loyalty at scale while also deepening emotional connections with its most influential customer segments.

A key moment in this year’s MTN Rewards journey was the recognition of Benjamin Yaw Nkrumah, who topped the redemption leaderboard and won an all-expense-paid round-trip ticket to Dubai for his mother. “MTN is not just a network,” Benjamin shared. “You can redeem points simply by using MTN services, and they reward you with unforgettable experiences.”

MTN Father’s Day

Commenting on the campaign, Nana Asantewaa Amegashie, Senior Manager for Consumer Marketing at MTN Ghana, noted:

“This initiative is more than a celebration of our fathers. It’s an appreciation of their role in shaping strong families and communities. For us at MTN, it’s a chance to thank our customers for choosing our network—not just to communicate, but to live, connect, and grow.”

MTN Rewards continues to reward customers for everyday use of MTN services such as calls, SMS, browsing and MoMo. Points can be redeemed through myMTN App and *550#.

By blending wide-reaching rewards with high-touch experiences, MTN Ghana is building deeper relationships with its customers and turning everyday interactions into moments that matter.
