Transformational Leadership Concepts (TLC), a behavioral and attitudinal change advocacy group, will on Sunday, September 14, 2025, hold the 17th virtual edition of its acclaimed Timekeeping Dialogue Series, bringing together thought leaders to share practical strategies for building a stronger culture of punctuality and productivity in Ghana.
Themed “From Busy to Balance: Productivity Hacks That Actually Work — Lessons from Peak Performers”, the session seeks to tackle one of Ghana’s most persistent challenges—lateness and poor time management—by equipping participants with real-life tools for efficiency.
The program will be hosted by Strategic Communications expert Georgina Asare Fiagbenu, with the Chief of Adidome, Togbe Kwasinyi Kakaklolo Agyeman V, as co-convenor.
Speakers and focus areas
The dialogue will feature renowned leadership coach Ibrahim K. Asante, Founder of Significant International Training Systems, who will draw from years of experience in coaching and leadership to highlight productivity strategies that promote punctuality, time discipline, and output maximization.
Amanda Dede Broni, Lay Pastor at Holy Hill Chapel, will guide participants on shifting their mindset from being “busy” but ineffective, to being truly productive and goal-driven.
Also on the panel is Ama Orleans Lindsay, Entrepreneur and Founder of Gem Capital Micro Finance Limited, who will share insights from the world of business and entrepreneurship, focusing on how individuals can find balance in the workplace, schools, and communities.
Together, the speakers aim to demonstrate how better personal time management translates into collective respect for time, creating a ripple effect that supports national development.
Changing Ghana’s timekeeping culture
For decades, lateness has been normalized in Ghanaian society, often excused as “African time.” However, this cultural acceptance has been costly, leading to missed opportunities, reduced productivity, and stalled growth. TLC’s dialogue series, launched to counter this trend, continues to offer thought-provoking discussions that encourage attitudinal change.
