The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has hauled George Aggudey, Managing Director of Gocrest Security Company Ltd, before court for allegedly failing to submit social security contribution reports on his workers.

SSNIT documents indicate that Aggudey, a former Convention People’s Party (CPP) Presidential Candidate, failed to file contribution reports between November 2024 and August 2025.

He is also accused of failing to produce records on staff appointments, attendance, wages and contributions despite several requests.

The documents, signed by Fred Antwi Boasiako, Prosecutor at SSNIT’s Adabraka branch, were posted on the noticeboard of a District Court in Accra on November 17, 2025.

SSNIT said Gocrest Security Company Limited, registered under Ghanaian law with employer number 199501568, was covered by the Basic National Social Security Scheme under the National Pensions Act, 2008 (Act 766).

SSNIT holds that Aggudey and the company violated Sections 83(1)(d)(f) and 63(7) of Act 766, as amended by Act 883, by failing to submit the required contribution reports and supporting documents.

Following unsuccessful attempts at personal service, the prosecutor applied for substituted service.

The District Court, presided over by Nancy A. Adade, granted the request and ordered that copies of the criminal summons, hearing notice and order be posted on the court’s noticeboard and served through Aggudey’s WhatsApp number, if available.

The case has been fixed for hearing on November 22, 2025.
