The capital city came alive over the weekend as thousands of fans thronged to the venue for ShattaFest, a massive celebration headlined by Ghana’s dancehall king, Shatta Wale.
The highly anticipated event dubbed ‘ShattaFest 2025 x Shattabration: The King Calls’ lived up to expectations, drawing music lovers from across the country and beyond for a night of electrifying performances and unforgettable energy.
From the moment Shatta Wale hit the stage, the crowd erupted in excitement, singing along to hit after hit — from “On God” to “Kakai” and “Melissa.”
Backed by a dynamic stage setup, the self-proclaimed “1Don” proved why he remains one of Africa’s most captivating performers.
The event, organised to celebrate Shatta Wale’s incredible journey and impact on Ghana’s music industry, also featured supporting performances from some of the hottest names in the game, including, Wendy Shay, Medikal, Tinny, JZyNo, Jupitar and Empress Gifty.
Others include Kwame Yogot, Captan, Rashid Metal, Togyal Renner, Mandem Yopic, and Chuku Lion.
Each act added its own flavour to the night, but it was clear that fans came primarily for one thing — to experience the Shatta Movement magic.
Security was tight, the atmosphere electric, and the sea of fans — waving SM-branded flags and chanting “SM4Lyf” — created a scene reminiscent of a music festival on a global scale.
With the massive turnout and world-class production, ShattaFest has cemented its place as one of Ghana’s biggest annual music events — a testament to the unstoppable force of the Shatta Movement and the passion of its loyal followers.
