President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to getting Ghana back on a path of economic recovery and national stability, saying the ‘Resetting Ghana’ agenda remains firmly on course.

In his Christmas message to Ghanaians, Mahama called on citizens to reflect on the values of unity, compassion, and shared responsibility, while renewing hope for a better future for the country.

He noted that Christmas offers an opportunity for Ghanaians to come together despite the challenges facing the nation, stressing that hardship should not weaken the collective resolve to rebuild the economy and strengthen democratic governance.

Mahama acknowledged the difficulties many families continue to face, including the rising cost of living, unemployment, and pressure on businesses, but assured Ghanaians that there is a clear vision to restore confidence in the economy and improve living standards.

According to him, the Resetting Ghana agenda is focused on accountable leadership, job creation, and policies that prioritise the welfare of ordinary citizens.

He emphasised that leadership must be guided by honesty, inclusiveness, and service to the people.

He also urged Ghanaians to show love and support to the vulnerable during the festive season, particularly children, the elderly, and those struggling to make ends meet.

“It’s my first Christmas with you, as your come-back President and I am filled with gratitude for the trust you have placed in my government. We are committed to the #ResettingGhana Agenda to position Ghana on a path of inclusive growth, job creation, accountability, and prosperity.

“As we work, together, tirelessly to revive our economy, complete stalled projects, expand our infrastructure, and build a Ghana that works for every citizen, let us draw inspiration from the hope that Christmas brings,” the Christmas post read.

He concluded by wishing Ghanaians a peaceful Christmas and expressing optimism that with unity and determination, the nation can overcome its current challenges and build a stronger, more prosperous Ghana.
