Clean-up exercises in Ghana provide multiple benefits, including improving public health by reducing disease vectors, enhancing environmental sanitation through waste management and beautification, fostering community participation and a sense of ownership, promoting partnerships among government, private entities, and community members, and encouraging behavioural change through public health education on proper waste disposal and recycling.

These initiatives also contribute to economic benefits by creating a more appealing environment for tourism and supporting businesses that use recycled materials.
