Legendary hiplife pioneer Reggie Rockstone has showered praise on Sarkodie following the rapper’s successful Rapperholic concert at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi that witnessed thousands of music lovers.

The event, which took place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, pulled massive crowds to the Ashanti regional capital, marking the first time the annual Rapperholic brand—usually hosted in Accra—was staged in Kumasi.

Fans from across the city and beyond thronged the venue, singing along to hit after hit as Sarkodie delivered a thrilling performance.

Taking to social media, Reggie Rockstone applauded the BET award-winning rapper for not only recognising Kumasi but also bringing such a high-profile show to the Garden City.

He described Sarkodie’s move as a significant gesture that celebrates Ghana’s diverse music culture while also acknowledging Kumasi’s vital role in shaping the country’s entertainment scene.

The night also featured appearances from other top acts who joined Sarkodie on stage, adding more excitement to the concert. Music lovers hailed the show as one of the biggest musical events Kumasi has seen in recent years.

Sarkodie’s decision to host Rapperholic in Kumasi has been widely praised as a way of decentralising major entertainment events from Accra and giving other regions a share of the spotlight.

With the success of this edition, many are hopeful that future Rapperholic concerts will continue to explore other parts of the country, cementing the brand as a truly national celebration of rap and music culture.
