Partey granted bail in alleged anal, vaginal rape, sexual assault case

Midfielder faces multiple charges amid ongoing police investigation; legal team confirms bail granted as inquiries continue

Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after appearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court this morning. He will next appear at the Old Bailey on September 2.

Thomas Partey has now left Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

Charge 1: Anal rape of Complainant 1 between April 2021 and May 2021. Complainant 1 alleges one occasion, when engaging in consensual vaginal sexual intercourse and Thomas Partey penetrated her anus with his penis without her consent. The allegation was reported to police in February 2022, and Partey was arrested and interviewed in July 2022.

Charge 2: Anal rape of Complainant 1 between April 2021 and June 2021. Multi-incident allegation where Complainant 1 alleges Thomas Partey inserted his penis into her anus without her consent on at least four occasions. Partey attended a voluntary interview in November 2024.

Charge 3: Vaginal rape of Complainant 2 in December 2021. Thomas Partey asked Complainant 2 for sex, she said she did not want to, but he allegedly penetrated her vagina with his penis anyway without consent. The allegation was made to police in February 2025, and Partey attended a voluntary interview in March 2025.

Charge 4: Anal rape of Complainant 2 in February 2022. It is alleged that Thomas Partey asked Complainant 2 for anal sex; she did not want to, but he put his penis in her anus anyway. This was reported to police in September 2022, but the allegation was not put to Partey during his voluntary interview in March 2025.

Charge 5: Vaginal rape of Complainant 2 in Marbella in June 2022. Complainant 2 alleges that Thomas Partey vaginally raped her in Spain. Partey was interviewed about this in July 2022.

Charge 6: Sexual assault of Complainant 3 in February 2022. It is alleged that Thomas Partey sexually assaulted Complainant 3 when she attended his address by lying on top of her, trying to kiss her, and touching her all over her body over clothing without consent. She tried to push him off, and after a couple of minutes, he stopped. He attended a voluntary interview about this in February 2023.
