MultiChoice Ghana has clarified that its recently announced ‘We’ve Got You’ DStv promotion is a routine customer rewards campaign and not influenced by the Communications Minister, Sam George.

The company emphasised that the promotion, which runs from October 1 to December 31, 2025, is part of its long-standing tradition of giving customers more value during festive seasons.

In a statement, MultiChoice Ghana reiterated that new, active, and previously disconnected subscribers are eligible to enjoy one package higher than what they pay for at no additional cost.

The company dismissed speculation linking the offer to political or external events, stressing that the promotion is aligned with its consistent customer appreciation strategy.

“This promotion is a way to reward our customers for their loyalty and continued support. It is not connected to any political matter or the Sam George saga,” the statement read.

MultiChoice assured subscribers of seamless upgrades once payments are made and encouraged customers to take advantage of the campaign, which covers all eligible packages from Padi to Compact Plus, except Premium.

Earlier, Sam George described the reduction in DStv subscription fees as an “unprecedented increased value offer” tailored specifically for Ghanaian subscribers.

This development follows weeks of regulatory pressure and negotiations concerning DStv pricing in the country.

“MultiChoice Africa has committed to an unprecedented increase in value offer only in Ghana, which will result in Ghanaian DStv subscribers getting more services for less,” the Minister confirmed.

“Depending on the DStv package or bouquet you use, subscribers will get between 33% to 50% more value,” he added.

Under the new arrangement, subscribers on the Paddy bouquet will automatically be upgraded to Access, while Access subscribers will move up to Family. Those on the Family bouquet will be upgraded to Compact, Compact subscribers to Compact Plus, and Compact Plus subscribers will now gain access to the Premium bouquet.

For Premium customers, the Minister assured that they will not be left out of the offer. Instead, they will automatically be entered into a draw for the chance to win a fully paid trip to Dubai.

The initiative will run for three months, after which the review committee will assess the packages and determine the next steps.

Subscribers are encouraged to check their current packages for details on the newly added value and explore the extra content now available.

With this development, DStv has once again reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality, affordable, and entertaining content to Ghanaians.
