His remarkable ability to narrate the human experience through love, hope, and resilience in his songs earned him a revered place in Ghana’s cultural history.

Beyond his influence in entertainment, the NPP highlighted Daddy Lumba’s significant role in political communication, particularly his contributions to the party’s campaigns in 2008, 2012, and 2016 through the popular anthem “Nana Ye Winner.”

These songs, the statement noted, became rallying cries that galvanised supporters and even earned respect across political divides.

“Daddy Lumba will be remembered not only for his music but also for his role in uplifting and uniting the Ghanaian spirit,” the party affirmed.

It added: “His influence will endure and continue to inspire future generations of artists and music lovers.”

The party extended its condolences to his family, friends, and the millions of fans across the world, praying for strength and peace for all who are grieving. As the nation mourns, the NPP said it honours Daddy Lumba’s lasting legacy and prays for his eternal rest.
