The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has announced the arrest of a key figure in the local drug trade following a major operation in Buduburam and nearby communities in the Gomoa East Municipality of the Central Region on Friday, 16 January 2026.

The suspect, 32-year-old Rebecca Afia Naa Dei Kotei, popularly known as “Mother,” is believed to be a central player in illicit drug activities. Local leaders say she has been a notorious figure who previously evaded arrest.
