MTN Ghana has taken another decisive step in deepening its role in the country’s digital transformation journey with the official launch of Business Eye, a new enterprise surveillance solution designed to help businesses protect assets, monitor operations and stay connected around the clock in an increasingly fast-paced digital economy.

The solution, which is now available to businesses across the country, goes beyond traditional security systems by integrating real-time connectivity, remote monitoring and intelligent features tailored to the realities of modern commerce.

From retail shops and restaurants to fuel stations, warehouses and corporate offices, Business Eye is positioned as a versatile tool for enterprises seeking greater visibility, efficiency and resilience in their day-to-day operations.

At a time when businesses are under growing pressure to operate faster, smarter and more securely, the introduction of Business Eye underscores the shifting role of telecommunications companies in Ghana.

No longer confined to voice and data services, telcos are increasingly becoming technology partners, providing digital tools that directly influence productivity, risk management and business continuity.

Business Eye is available in both SIM-enabled and WiFi-enabled models, a flexibility that reflects the diverse operating environments of Ghanaian businesses.

This means enterprises are not constrained by location or fixed infrastructure, an important advantage in a country where businesses operate across urban centres, peri-urban areas and remote locations.

The system offers 24-hour remote monitoring with real-time alerts, allowing business owners and managers to keep an eye on their premises from anywhere, at any time.

The solution also comes with secure cloud storage and local SD-card backup, ensuring that critical footage is protected even in the event of connectivity disruptions.

In a market where power instability remains a challenge, the inclusion of a solar-powered feature stands out as a practical innovation.

By maintaining surveillance during power outages, Business Eye addresses one of the most persistent risks to business security and operational continuity.

Two-way audio functionality further enhances the system’s usefulness, enabling not just observation but instant communication.

Business owners can speak directly to staff, security personnel or visitors on-site, adding a layer of responsiveness that traditional CCTV systems simply do not offer.

Speaking on the launch, Angela Mensah Poku, Chief Enterprise Business Officer of MTN Ghana, said the product reflects the company’s broader vision of empowering enterprises through intelligent, business-grade solutions.

According to her, Business Eye is designed to deliver more than just security; it provides real-time visibility and control that help organisations remain efficient and competitive, even in challenging environments.

“At MTN, we are committed to empowering businesses with smart, innovative solutions that go beyond connectivity,” she said.

“As businesses operate through the Christmas period and beyond, Business Eye provides real-time visibility and control, helping organisations remain secure and efficient even in challenging environments.

“This launch reflects our dedication to supporting Ghanaian enterprises to stay agile, resilient, and future-ready,” she added.

Her comments capture a central theme in today’s business landscape: agility.

In a fast-paced digital era, agility is no longer a buzzword but a necessity. Businesses must respond quickly to risks, customer needs and operational issues.

Surveillance systems that simply record events after they occur are no longer sufficient.

What enterprises increasingly require are systems that provide instant insight and enable immediate action.

This is where Business Eye becomes particularly significant.

For retail businesses, the ability to monitor stores remotely can help reduce theft, manage staff productivity and improve customer service.

Restaurant operators can keep track of operations across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with standards and responding swiftly to incidents.

Fuel stations, which often operate around the clock and handle high-value assets, can benefit from continuous monitoring that enhances safety and reduces losses.

Warehouses and logistics hubs, critical nodes in supply chains, gain an added layer of protection and operational oversight.

Beyond security, the solution also speaks to the growing importance of data-driven decision-making.

Real-time alerts and remote access allow business owners to identify patterns, respond to inefficiencies and make informed choices without being physically present.

In an economy where time is money, such capabilities can translate directly into cost savings and improved performance.

The launch also comes at a period when businesses are embracing digital tools at an accelerated pace.

The post-pandemic era, combined with rising competition and changing consumer behaviour, has pushed enterprises to adopt technologies that improve resilience.

Digital surveillance, once seen as a luxury, is increasingly viewed as a core component of business infrastructure, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises seeking to scale sustainably.

MTN Ghana’s introduction of dedicated IoT bundle packages specifically for Business Eye further lowers the barrier to adoption.

By bundling connectivity with the surveillance solution, the company simplifies the process for businesses and provides a predictable cost structure.

Interested customers can subscribe by dialling *5060#, while devices are available at MTN retail outlets, authorised resellers and online through MTN Ghana’s business solutions platform.

This approach reflects a broader strategy to integrate connectivity, devices and services into a single ecosystem.

For businesses, this reduces complexity and ensures that the technology they rely on is supported end-to-end by one provider. In a fast-moving digital environment, simplicity and reliability are often as important as innovation.

The significance of Business Eye also lies in its alignment with Ghana’s wider digitalisation agenda.

As the country pursues a more technology-driven economy, solutions that enhance security, efficiency and trust become essential.

Businesses that feel secure are more likely to invest, expand and innovate.

In this sense, enterprise surveillance is not just about preventing loss; it is about enabling growth.

For MTN Ghana, the launch reinforces its evolution from a traditional telecommunications company into a digital solutions provider.

By extending its offerings from connectivity to intelligent enterprise tools, the company is positioning itself as a partner in business transformation.

This is particularly important as competition intensifies not just among telcos, but across the broader technology and digital services landscape.

In a fast-paced digital era defined by constant connectivity, remote operations and rising expectations, the ability to see, respond and act in real time has become a strategic advantage. Business Eye taps directly into this reality, offering Ghanaian enterprises a solution that combines security with intelligence and flexibility.

As businesses navigate an environment marked by rapid technological change, economic uncertainty and evolving risks, tools like Business Eye are likely to move from optional add-ons to essential infrastructure.

By bringing such a solution to market, MTN Ghana is not only addressing immediate security needs but also helping to shape how businesses operate, compete and thrive in the digital age.

Ultimately, Business Eye represents a clear statement of intent: that the future of business in Ghana will be connected, intelligent and resilient, and that those who embrace smart digital solutions today will be better positioned to succeed tomorrow.
