MTN MobileMoney Limited has launched the “Me Nsa Aka” consumer promotion to encourage customers to adopt and actively use the MoMo App for their financial transactions.

The campaign, themed “One MoMo App, Endless Rewards,” will run from now until December 15, 2025, offering customers daily, weekly, and monthly rewards, as well as a grand prize of up to GH¢100,000.

Speaking at the launch, Chief Technology & Service Delivery Officer, Charles Asamoah, said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to deepening digital adoption while rewarding customer loyalty.

“MoMo has grown from a simple money transfer service into Ghana’s leading digital financial platform. Millions now rely on it to send and receive money, pay bills, shop, save, insure, and invest.

The Me Nsa Aka promo is about strengthening trust and driving greater use of the MoMo App,” he noted.

He stated that the MoMo App, which was introduced as part of MTN’s digital transformation, allows customers to enjoy biometric logins, enhanced security, and seamless access to a range of services, including payments, savings, insurance, and investments.

Unlike the USSD service, the app, according to him, offers an expanded digital experience and simplified financial management.

Charles Asamoah emphasised that partnerships remain central to MoMo’s growth, with collaborations extending to banks, insurance companies, FinTechs, and the Ghana Stock Exchange.

He added that the app also creates opportunities for underserved communities, particularly women in business.

“Inclusion for us is not just a target, it is a responsibility. Whether in a market hub, rural community, or a growing business, everyone deserves access to financial tools that improve their lives,” he stated.

To qualify for the promo, customers must perform transactions exclusively on the MoMo App, including school fee payments, remittances, loan access, and insurance services.

As part of its ongoing Shine Your Eye campaign, it reminded customers to remain vigilant against fraud.

Customers were urged to follow the “three golden rules”: never share their PIN, never allow others to transact on their behalf, and avoid conversations about their wallet with strangers.

Official promo-related calls will only come from MTN’s number, 0244300000.

The Chief Technology &Service Delivery Officer reiterated its confidence in Ghana’s digital finance future, noting that MoMo will continue to expand collaborations with FinTechs and ecosystem players.

“This is your time. Download the MoMo App, participate in the promo, win exciting rewards, and most importantly, experience the safety, convenience, and empowerment that digital finance brings,” he stressed.

Senior Manager, Fintech Channels, Abdul Majeed Rufai, described the promotion as a way of saying thank you to customers for their loyalty over the years.

“We introduced Mobile Money with Me Nsa Aka, and it remains as relevant today as it was then. That is why we see this campaign as a continuation of the Me Nsa Aka story. Through this promo, we want to reward loyalty while also encouraging customers to embrace the app as their go-to digital finance tool,” he said.

Highlighting the app’s unique features, Mr. Rufai explained that the MoMo App now offers biometric login options, including facial recognition, allowing customers to access their wallets seamlessly without relying solely on PINs.

On the mechanics of the promo, he outlined that customers stand to win daily prizes of GH¢100, GH¢200, and high-speed routers; weekly prizes ranging from GH¢500 to GH¢2,000; and monthly prizes of GH¢3,000 to GH¢5,000.

The grand prize will reward five winners, with amounts ranging from GH¢10,000 to GH¢100,000.

“We are rewarding people daily, weekly, monthly, and in the grand draw. Ultimately, this is about changing people’s lives and including our customers in the digital future,” Mr. Rufai emphasised.

Beyond rewards, MTN MobileMoney stressed its ongoing efforts to protect customers from fraud, particularly during promo periods when fraudsters intensify their activities.

The National Lottery Authority (NLA) also assured the public that the “Me Nsa Aka” MoMo App Consumer Promo by MTN Ghana is fair, transparent, and aligned with social impact initiatives.

The Account Executive at the NLA, Priscilla Akuamoah, emphasized the Authority’s regulatory role under Act 722, which mandates it as the sole body responsible for conducting lottery games and ensuring participant fairness.

“This initiative demonstrates how innovation, transparency, and social responsibility can work together to deliver value not only to customers but also to the nation,” she said.

She confirmed that the promotion has undergone thorough auditing and verification processes to ensure that it is free and fair for all participants.

Beyond guaranteeing fairness, the NLA also highlighted the social impact of the initiative.

Proceeds from the promo are directed to the Good Causes Foundation, which supports community projects that positively transform lives.
