MTN MobileMoney LTD has launched the MoMo Business App, a new digital solution designed to empower merchants and businesses across Ghana, during the opening of DigiFest 2025.
Speaking at the launch, Chief Products and Services Officer for MobileMoney LTD, Sylvia Otuo Acheampong, said the app marks a significant milestone in harnessing digital innovation to strengthen Ghana’s financial ecosystem and promote financial inclusion.
“Merchants are the heartbeat of Ghana’s economy. Running a business should be easier, smarter, and faster. That is why we developed the MoMo Business App—to give merchants more control over their finances, and to help them grow,” she stated.
The MoMo Business App offers a wide range of features designed to make business operations easier.
She stated that Merchants can seamlessly accept payments through QR codes, cards, and mobile wallets, while also tracking transactions and revenue growth in real time.
The app according to her, allows for the easy creation and sending of invoices to customers, and provides access to detailed financial reports and analytics to guide business decisions.
“In addition, it has a secure, user-friendly interface with robust security features to ensure safe and reliable transactions” she added.
According to her, the app will improve efficiency in financial operations, enhance customer experiences, and provide businesses with data-driven insights for growth.
“This app is not just another tool; it is a dedicated platform for merchants, built to simplify transactions, enhance security, and open new opportunities for income,” she emphasized.
The MoMo Business App, now available for free on Google Play Store and Apple App Store, is expected to become the central hub for financial management for Ghanaian merchants.
MobileMoney LTD believes its adoption will contribute to long-term financial inclusion by equipping businesses with digital tools that drive competitiveness in today’s economy.
Sylvia Otuo Acheampong urged businesses and entrepreneurs to download the app and encouraged stakeholders to support merchants in embracing it.
“Every merchant that uses this app contributes to building a stronger, more inclusive economy. Together, let us continue to shape a future where technology simplifies business, empowers merchants, and drives economic growth,” she said.
The launch formed part of activities marking DigiFest 2025, MTN Ghana’s inaugural festival dedicated to showcasing digital innovation and solutions for Africa’s progress.
