Margins ID Group has joined hundreds of government officials, civil society, and other corporate institutions on Saturday to lay a wreath in memory of the eight persons killed in the Adansi Akrofuom helicopter crash on Wednesday.
The group led by the Executive Director in charge of Internal Audit, Kwadwo Mpiani Brantuo, expressed their deepest condolences to the bereaved families and the nation.
The other members of the delegation are James Cantamantu-Koomson – Executive Director for Identity Management Systems (IMS), and Claudia Boatemaa Adusei – Brand Manager.
“We know this is a tragedy, and we identify with it. But we believe in the resurrection and hope that these gallant men shall rise on the day of resurrection, and we shall see them.” Mr. Mpiani said.
Mr. Mpiani also expressed the company’s readiness to offer support to the bereaved families.
“In times like these, support for the bereaved families must not be overlooked. Those who know tradition comply with traditions. So at the right time, the company will ensure that it contributes its widow’s mite to aid in the burial and funeral services of the eight bereaved persons”.
The deceased included two cabinet ministers—Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Minister for Defence, and Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, as well as Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator; Dr Samuel Sarpong, Vice-Chairman of the NDC; Mr. Samuel Aboagye, former NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Obuasi East; Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala; Flying Officer Malin Twum-Ampadu; and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
The Adansi Akrofuom tragedy has drawn messages of condolences from across the globe.
Messages of sympathy have been received from Pope Leo XIV, ECOWAS Chair and President of Sierra Leone Dr. Julius Bio.
The wreath-laying ceremony formed part of a series of national events to honour the memory of the eight departed souls.
