President John Dramani Mahama has officially revoked the appointment of Dr Anne Sansa Daly, a board member of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).
A letter dated May 23, 2025, signed by Dr. Callistus Mahama, the Executive Secretary to the President, “revoked the appointment of Dr Anne Sansa Daly, a US-trained internal medicine physician, as a member of the Board of NHIA”, adding that “The President has nominated Prof. Dr. (Med) Ernest Yorke to replace her.”
The statement urged Dr Yorke to take the necessary steps to facilitate his swearing-in accordingly.
On May 25, 2025, Dr. Anne Sansa Daly, who doubles as host of a health programme on GHOne TV is at the centre of controversy following a news report that questioned her medical qualifications.
This follows a publication by Modern Ghana titled “Fake Female Medical Doctor on GHOne TV Exposed,” on May 22, 2025, which alleged that Dr. Daly is not licensed to practise medicine in either Ghana or the United States.
