Founder of Parliament Chapel International, Apostle Francis Amoako Attah, has shared a startling spiritual encounter involving legendary highlife musician Daddy Lumba.

According to the renowned preacher, Daddy Lumba appeared to him in a dream while he was asleep and requested that he commission his house in heaven.

The revelation, Apostle Amoako Attah explained, was vivid and filled with symbolic imagery.

“Daddy Lumba came to me while I was asleep and asked me to commission his house in heaven for him. He showed me a house with Ghana’s flag on top and said it belonged to the late President J.J. Rawlings, and then showed me another one, which he said was for Apostle Kwadwo Safo, which they were painting,” Apostle Amoako Attah said.

The vision, he noted, left him reflecting deeply on the mysteries of life, legacy, and faith. Apostle Amoako Attah hinted that such revelations serve as reminders of the eternal rewards awaiting individuals based on their impact on earth.

While his account has sparked mixed reactions, it adds to the many spiritual testimonies the Apostle has shared over the years—often blending national figures, religious insights, and personal revelations to inspire believers.

For many, his latest message is a call to live purposefully, with the assurance that one’s deeds on earth resonate in the life to come.

Lumba passes on

Daddy Lumba died at the Bank Hospital in Accra at dawn on Saturday, July 26, 2025. He was 60 years old.

The singer-songwriter and musician has more than 30 albums to his name and is widely regarded as one of the greatest Ghanaian musicians of all time.

Ghanaian highlife legends

Daddy Lumba was born on September 29, 1964, and hailed from Nsuta near Mampong in the Ashanti Region.

He started his music career at age 16 and became the leader of the then Juaben Secondary School choir in 1983

After secondary school, Daddy Lumba formed the Lumba Brothers group with his friends Yaw and Kwabena, and his girlfriend, Theresa Abebrese.

With the help of his girlfriend, Theresa, Daddy Lumba travelled to Germany after school to seek greener pastures and met Ernest Nana Acheampong.

Nana Acheampong, another highlife legend, introduced Daddy Lumba to highlife music, as all Lumba knew was gospel music.

They formed the group called Lumba Brothers and rose to fame with many songs, starting with the “Yɛɛyɛ aka akwantuo mu”.

They released many songs until they went their separate ways later on.
