Kokrobite Health Centre launches 25th anniversary celebration

The Kokrobite Health Centre has launched activities to mark its 25th anniversary, setting in motion a month-long celebration that will blend community service with festive events.

The launch ceremony, held at the facility’s Outpatient Department (OPD), brought together unit heads, staff, and clients in recognition of the centre’s quarter-century of dedicated healthcare delivery.

Head of Facility, Jerry Nunno, addressing the gathering, described the milestone as a shared achievement made possible by the commitment of staff and the trust of the community.

He urged all personnel to actively support and participate in the activities, stressing that the anniversary was “a celebration of collective achievement and continued dedication to promoting health and healthy living in Kokrobite.”

He noted that the anniversary not only commemorates 25 years of service but also strengthens the Centre’s partnership with the Kokrobite community.

“This is a time to reflect, to give back, and to look ahead to even stronger healthcare delivery in the years to come,” he added.

The Head of Facility also invited residents, partners, and well-wishers to join in the activities.

This year’s celebration is themed “Celebrating 25 Years of Promoting Health and Healthy Living” and will run from October 3 to November 2, 2025.

The programme includes a variety of community-focused events, beginning with a Health Walk and free screening exercise at Tuba Junction on October 3.

Subsequent outreach sessions are scheduled for October 9 at Tuba Roundabout and October 16 at Kokrobite Pentecost, offering wider access to health services for residents.

In keeping with its commitment to environmental health, the Centre will lead a Clean-Up Exercise on October 24. A Dinner and Awards Night on October 25 will honour outstanding staff and partners who have supported the facility’s growth over the years.

The celebration will peak with a Grand Durbar and Fundraising event on Saturday, November 1, followed by a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 2, to conclude the festivities.
