Ghanaian entertainer and social media personality BullGod has claimed that he has been on the payroll of President John Dramani Mahama since the beginning of his tenure.
According to him, President John Mahama is managing the country’s affairs effectively and even provides him with a monthly stipend.
Lawrence Nan Asiama Hanson, popularly called BullGod, revealed on Accra-based Joy FM that, “I am on a payroll with His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, since he started working, every month I go for money from his salary. So when they pay him, then he pays me.”
He stated that during the period the President dedicated his salary to the MahamaCares project, he didn’t get the stipends, but now it has been regularised for him.
The remark has sparked discussion across social media, with many questioning the nature of the engagement and the responsibilities tied to it.
Details on the scope of BullGod’s role or the nature of the remuneration have not been publicly disclosed. Observers note that such claims often attract public scrutiny, given the high-profile nature of former Presidents and concerns about transparency in financial matters.
BullGod, who is known for his outspoken presence online, did not provide further clarification on whether his work was formal or honorary.
The revelation adds to the ongoing conversations about celebrity endorsements, political affiliations, and financial ties in Ghana, particularly when public figures link themselves to prominent political personalities.
