Award-winning gospel musician Diana Hamilton has sparked conversations after revealing that she has the unique ability to “talk to ghosts.”

Speaking during an interview on Accra-based Hitz FM, the celebrated singer explained that her statement should not be taken literally but understood within the context of her deep spiritual experiences as a Christian.

According to Diana Hamilton, her encounters are rooted in faith, prayer, and an acute sensitivity to the spiritual world.

She clarified that every believer has the capacity to connect with the spiritual realm, but many people either ignore the signs or do not pay attention to them.

“I’m your classic sanguine… I’m a helpless sanguine… I can talk to a ghost unless I don’t want to talk to you,” she said.

Hamilton explained that her strong sanguine personality — which she estimates at “90 per cent” — plays a major role in shaping her creativity and her naturally expressive, outgoing nature.

“Sanguines talk. We’re the life of the party,” she said, connecting this personality trait to her earlier interest in journalism. “I could have done it… If I had taken it seriously,” she stated.

The Adom hitmaker emphasised that her spiritual sensitivity equips her to identify when circumstances have deeper meanings beyond the physical.

She believes this awareness strengthens her ministry, helping her deliver songs that uplift and transform lives.

Hamilton urged Christians not to be afraid of spirituality, stressing that the Bible itself speaks extensively about supernatural encounters.

She, however, advised that such experiences must always be tested against scripture and guided by faith, not fear.

Her comments have since gained traction on social media, drawing mixed reactions. While some fans expressed amazement and admiration for her spiritual depth, others questioned the phrasing of her statement.

Nonetheless, Diana Hamilton remains unfazed, stating that her goal is to inspire others to grow in their spiritual walk.

The multiple award-winning songstress continues to be one of Ghana’s most influential gospel voices, known for blending powerful vocals with messages of hope, faith, and divine connection.
