This year, a total of 603,328 candidates from 20,395 schools sat for the examination, comprising 297,250 males and 306,078 females. The figure also included 72 visually impaired candidates, 239 hearing-impaired candidates, and 161 candidates with other special needs.

Following investigations into various irregularities detected during the conduct of the exams and the marking of scripts, the 36th meeting of the final awards and examiners’ appointment committee, held on Friday, August 15, 2025, approved several sanctions. These include:

  • Cancellation of the subject results of 718 candidates

  • Withholding of the entire results of 93 candidates
