Ghana Link Network Services Ltd has joined the nation in mourning the eight compatriots who perished in the tragic military helicopter crash of August 6, 2025, describing them as “patriots, servants of the Republic, and cherished members of our national family.”

In a solemn tribute issued on the day of national mourning, the company said the loss was one that Ghana “carries together,” noting that the deceased were defined not only by their service but also by the courage, dedication, and loyalty they displayed throughout their lives.

A life of purpose and service

The statement paid glowing tribute to the gallant men and women, highlighting their “unwavering commitment to duty” and the fact that they “embodied the highest ideals of loyalty and sacrifice” even in their final moments.

“We remember not only the tragedy of their passing but the richness of their lives, the strength of their character, and the enduring legacy they leave behind,” the company said.

As technical services providers for Ghana’s Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS), Ghana Link stressed its belief that “true service is never forgotten,” adding that the example set by the fallen heroes “will continue to inspire generations to come.”

Finding strength in faith

The statement drew comfort from the words, “In His will is our peace”, noting that while the grief was profound, solace could be found in trusting God’s perfect plan.

“Though our human hearts ache, we trust in the divine promise that His ways, though sometimes hidden, are always mysterious. In this truth, we find the strength to press forward, united in hope and faith,” the message read.

Condolences to families

To the families, loved ones, and colleagues of the departed, Ghana Link extended its “deepest condolences,” pledging to honour their memory by supporting the noble mission for which they gave their lives.

“Your loss is our loss; your grief is our grief,” the company said. “May you find comfort in the knowledge that your loved ones are honoured by us all in the Republic they so faithfully served, and that their memory will remain a living testament to courage and service.”

A legacy to uphold

Ghana Link called on the nation to strive toward building a country “worthy of their sacrifice,” where their example inspires citizens to serve selflessly and to love our country more deeply.”

“May their gallant souls rest in perfect peace,” the company concluded, “and may their legacy burn brightly in the heart of our nation forever.”
