Citizens are also urged to prepare for any emergencies by understanding local emergency protocols and ensuring they have adequate food and medical supplies.

Additionally, the Embassy recommends that individuals keep their travel documents updated, regularly check the Ghana Community WhatsApp page for updates, and register their contact details with the mission if they have not already done so.

In the event of emergencies or concerns, the Embassy has provided hotlines and email contacts for support.

The Government of Qatar has affirmed that the security situation remains stable, and there is no immediate threat to the civilian population. Nevertheless, the Embassy urges all Ghanaian nationals to remain vigilant and observe the following precautionary measures:

  1. Stay informed: Follow official announcements from the Qatari Ministry of Interior and local news outlets for updates.

  2. Avoid speculation: Refrain from sharing unverified information on social media that may cause panic or misinformation.

  3. Emergency preparedness: Ensure you are familiar with emergency procedures in your area of residence and workplace.

  4. Food and medical supplies: You are encouraged to stay indoors and avoid crowded places in the interim and ensure you have enough food and medical supplies, as well as other essential items at home.

  5. Travel documents: Make sure your travel documents are easily accessible and up to date.

  6. Ghana community WhatsApp page: Constantly monitor the Ghana Community WhatsApp page for updates.

  7. Register with the Embassy: If you have not already done so, please register your contact details with the Embassy to facilitate communication in case of emergencies.

The Ghanaian government reiterated its commitment to the safety and protection of its citizens abroad and confirmed that it continues to monitor the situation closely.
