The list is compiled by Africa Global PR Week, a dynamic platform that champions the value of strategic communication, brand building, and authentic storytelling, while boldly challenging misconceptions, sparking new conversations, and demonstrating how these tools can shape Africa’s future and amplify its voice on the global stage.

In 2024 and 2023, she was named among the Top 10 Public Relations Practitioners in Ghana, affirming her standing as one of the country’s most respected voices in strategic communications and reputation management.
As Head of Corporate Communications for MTN Ghana, she is responsible for overseeing internal and external communications, media relations, community engagement, stakeholder management and leadership communications.

Her remit also extends to directing the communications strategy for the MTN Ghana Foundation and MTN Mobile Money, two entities that sit at the heart of MTN’s social impact and digital financial inclusion agenda.

Championing youth empowerment and digital responsibility
Beyond corporate boardrooms, Georgina Asare Fiagbenu has been a visible advocate for youth empowerment and responsible digital citizenship.
She participated as a speaker at the Youth Empowerment Summit in Tamale, organised by the Martha Inspires Foundation, where she addressed about 3,000 students on the importance of excellence, resilience and building a strong personal brand.
In Tamale, she also led a focused session aimed at empowering young girls to envision and build brighter futures.
During the engagement, she spoke extensively about safe internet practices, the importance of dreaming boldly and committing to long-term goals, and the urgent need for young people to take digitalisation and technology training seriously in a rapidly changing global economy.

In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Georgina Fiagbenu has dedicated personal time and resources to public education on leadership discipline and productivity.

A career grounded in strategy and service
Georgina Asare Fiagbenu is a seasoned professional in strategic communications and reputation management, with experience spanning corporate, non-profit and consultancy environments. Before joining MTN Ghana, she worked at Strategic Communications—now Stratcomm Africa—where she managed key accounts including British Airways and the Board of Airlines of Ghana. She also led major public relations campaigns for the Forestry Commission and the Charities Aid Foundation.
She later joined SOS Ghana, where she established the organisation’s Communications and Fundraising Department, further strengthening her expertise in stakeholder engagement and impact communication.
Her academic and professional development reflects a strong commitment to leadership and continuous learning.
She holds a degree in Sociology from the University of Ghana, a postgraduate diploma from the School of Communication Studies, and a master’s degree in Leadership and Governance from the University of Ghana Business School.
Georgina Fiagbenu has served on the Board of the Ghana Blood Foundation and was an implementation member of the Central Leadership Programme, roles that further reflect her dedication to public service and institutional development.
