As part of efforts to improve customer relations, address long-standing concerns, and enhance service delivery, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Head Office and Volta/Oti Regions, successfully organised a series of community engagement fora across the Denu District in November and December 2025.
The engagements at Denu formed part of a broader communication and operational strategy to educate customers on the operations of ECG, particularly the ongoing replacement of illegal and foreign meters, accurate billing processes, mobile money fraud, service acquisition, and the use of approved materials such as standard cables and poles.
The fora, held at key locations including Aflao, Agbozume, and Dzodze, were well attended by customers and key stakeholders, including traditional authorities, Assembly Members, and members of various community-based organisations.
Paramount Chiefs graciously chaired the sessions, lending credibility and drawing strong participation from their communities.
Their presence also symbolised a collective community approach to resolving electricity-related concerns.
Significant support was received from the Ketu South Municipal Chief Executive, the Member of Parliament, the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC), and the Energy Commission.
These institutions not only participated in the fora but also provided clarifications on policy issues and assured the public of their commitment to working with ECG for improved service.
