The Board of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has appointed David Asamoah as the Acting Managing Director, following the resignation of Samuel Dubik-Mahama.
Former role as deputy managing director
Before this new appointment, Mr. Asamoah held the position of Deputy Managing Director in charge of Commercial Services.
His new role as Acting Managing Director is temporary, with a final decision on the leadership expected from the Government of Ghana, which is the sole shareholder of ECG.
Board chairman assures stability
Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the Board Chairman of ECG, announced the appointment and reassured the public that the resignation of Mr. Dubik-Mahama will not result in power outages, addressing concerns about potential disruptions in service.
