A police statement issued stated that the complainant, 55-year-old farmer Addai Faustina, returned home on December 12, 2025, to discover that her six-bedroom apartment had been broken into.

Thieves had stolen two 65-inch Hisense televisions valued at GH₵24,000, a decoder worth GH₵350, and cash totalling GH₵3,000. She promptly reported the incident to the authorities.

The statement explained that a Regional Operational Patrol team, while conducting a stop-and-search exercise on the Sunyani–Berekum highway, stopped a Toyota Sienta with registration number BR 135-25.

A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of the stolen items, including the two televisions, a multi-TV decoder with remote, and some electrical cables.

During questioning by the Police, the suspects confessed to stealing the items from Dormaa-Ahenkro in the Bono Region.

The suspects remain in police custody to assist with investigations, and arrangements are being made to arraign them in court.

The police statement also reassured the public of the Command’s commitment to combating crime and bringing offenders to justice, while commending residents for their continued cooperation and support.

The two individuals are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
