Ashaiman came alive over the weekend as the town’s streets pulsed with music, dance, and celebration when Ghana’s Dancehall heavyweight, Stonebwoy, headlined the Ashaiman edition of MoMo Fest 2025 at Sakasaka Park.
The two-day festival, held on Friday, September 19, and Saturday, September 20, drew thousands of revellers from across Accra, transforming Ashaiman into a carnival-like hub where culture, entertainment, and community spirit blended seamlessly.
Stonebwoy, famed for his magnetic stagecraft and award-winning hits, led a glittering line-up of Dancehall, Afrobeats, and Highlife performers.
His high-octane set kept the crowd on its feet from start to finish, with fans singing, dancing, and chanting along in a wave of unrelenting energy.
But MoMo Fest was more than a music party. Organized by MobileMoney LTD with support from MTN Ghana, the festival doubled as a platform for innovation, financial literacy, and community empowerment.
The MoMo Cashless Market buzzed with activity as local vendors showcased goods in a vibrant display of entrepreneurship, while digital safety workshops armed attendees with practical tips on mobile wallet protection and fraud prevention.
Young festival-goers found their thrill at the MoMo Game Night Show, a unique fusion of learning and play that turned education into fun with challenges, prizes, and lively participation.
Staying true to its tradition from past editions in Jamestown, Osu, and Mile 7, Achimota, this year’s Ashaiman stop also offered festival-goers on-the-spot MoMo services, SIM replacements, product education, and real-time customer support.
Participants were encouraged to download the MoMo App and join the “Still Me Nsa Aka” consumer promotion for exclusive rewards.
By blending electrifying performances with cultural pride, financial inclusion, and community engagement, MoMo Fest 2025 transformed Ashaiman into a cultural heartbeat of the capital.
It was a weekend that not only celebrated Ghanaian music but also spotlighted innovation, creativity, and togetherness—cementing the festival’s place as one of the nation’s most anticipated and influential community events.
