Zoomlion denies allegations of employing landguards

Zoomlion Ghana Limited has strongly denied allegations linking the company to the use of landguards in a reported incident involving the destruction of property owned by Turkish investors.
The allegations claimed that “Zoomlion Landguards” were responsible for violent actions against foreign-owned properties. In a swift response, management of the sanitation and waste management company categorically dismissed the claims as “unfounded, misleading, and unjustifiable.”
In a statement, Zoomlion clarified that it does not employ, contract, or engage the services of landguards, describing such accusations as inconsistent with its corporate values.
“Zoomlion Ghana Limited does not engage in any unlawful or outlawed activities,” the company stressed.
“We operate in full accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana and uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.”
The management further described the reports as damaging to its reputation and credibility, especially considering the company’s extensive partnerships with reputable international firms across various sectors.

Call for legal redress, not false accusations
Zoomlion advised that any grievances or disputes should be channeled through the appropriate legal and judicial systems, instead of resorting to public accusations without evidence.

“As a private entity committed to development through collaboration, we find it unjust for anyone to associate our name with acts of violence or destruction,” the statement noted.
“We support the role of the judiciary in the resolution of all disputes and fully submit to the rule of law.”
Reiterating its dedication to ethical business conduct, Zoomlion assured the public and its stakeholders of its ongoing commitment to lawful operations, sustainable development, and transparent corporate governance.
“We urge the general public to disregard these baseless claims,” the company said.
“Zoomlion remains focused on its mission to improve environmental sanitation and create jobs, in partnership with both local and international stakeholders.”
The company ended its statement by reaffirming its stance as a responsible and law-abiding corporate citizen, calling for media responsibility and accuracy in reporting.
