Telecom and EMIs Chambers Congratulate President-Elect Mahama

The Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications and the Electronic Money Issuers (EMIs) Chamber of Ghana have extended their congratulations to John Dramani Mahama on his election as President of Ghana.
In a statement signed by Ing. Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey, Chief Executive Officer of the two chambers, the organizations hailed Mahama’s re-election as a pivotal moment for Ghana’s democratic maturity and socio-economic advancement.
The chambers commended President Mahama’s dedication to fostering innovation, inclusivity, and technological progress.
“As key stakeholders in Ghana’s telecommunications and electronic payments industries, we commend his steadfast commitment to innovation and technological advancement. His leadership is crucial to driving digital transformation in Ghana,” the statement noted.
They expressed their eagerness to collaborate with the incoming administration on manifesto initiatives, particularly those related to the Digital Economy, Communication, and Innovation.
The chambers lauded Mahama’s engagement with the telecommunications and electronic payments sectors, appreciating his participation in discussions on industry manifestos. “Your commitment to our mission is deeply appreciated,” Dr. Ashigbey stated.
The statement also commended Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for prioritizing national interests by accepting the election results and congratulating the President-elect. This act, according to the chambers, reinforces Ghana’s strong democratic values.
The chambers extended their heartfelt appreciation to the Ghanaian electorate for ensuring the elections were conducted peacefully and orderly, showcasing the country’s commitment to democracy.
