PRINPAG names 5-member committee for 2024 Journalism Awards

The Private Newspapers and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) has formed a five-member committee to oversee nominations for the prestigious 2024 PRINPAG Awards.
These annual awards aim to celebrate excellence in print and online journalism across Ghana, recognizing journalists and media outlets that demonstrate originality, innovation, and editorial independence.

Committee members
In a statement issued in Accra, PRINPAG named the committee members as Chairman: Sir Ben Asorrow, Secretary: Mr. Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri, Members: Lawyer Ken Agyei Kuranchie, Mr. Awudu Mahama, and Mr. David Tamakloe.
The committee’s role is to nominate winners across various award categories using criteria established by PRINPAG’s National Executives.
According to PRINPAG, the committee’s “dedicated work ensures that our awards uphold the highest standards, celebrating the achievements of journalists who exemplify integrity and professionalism.”

A December celebration of journalism excellence
The 2024 PRINPAG Awards Ceremony is set for December, where outstanding media professionals will be honored for their contributions to the industry.
The association urged all members to support the committee’s work in promoting the awards’ prestige and integrity.
PRINPAG encouraged members to fulfill any outstanding financial obligations to ensure their eligibility for recognition and maintain good standing with the Association.
The association’s statement concluded, “Let us all unite in celebrating media excellence and contributing to the success of this year’s awards.”
