The suspect, who was arrested on January 10, 2025, around 10:00 pm on suspicion of theft, fell ill while in custody at approximately 2:20 am. Police promptly transported him to the Ejura Government Hospital for medical attention. Unfortunately, the suspect passed away while receiving treatment.

News of the suspect’s death spread rapidly, inciting anger among members of the community. Around 3:00 am, a mob attacked the Ejura Police Station, setting it ablaze. Some individuals proceeded to the hospital, where they forcibly took the suspect’s body.
