The Osu Kinkawe Dzaase has kicked against the nomination of one Ishmael Nortey Adumuah to serve on a Council at the Korley Klottey Municipal Assembly.
It has rather recommended Nii Kwabena Bonne V, Osu Alata Mantse or Nii Nortey Otututse II, Osu Ashante Dzaasetse, whom the Dzaase described as “recognized chiefs of the Osu Traditional Area who have been duly gazetted”.
In a letter addressed to the Chairman of the NDC, the Dzaase said, Ishmael Adumuah who used to be the Oshiahene of Osu until his suspension, had been described as a Traditionalist and Entrepreneur apparently to represent the interests of the people of Osu.
“We wish to bring to the attention of the appointing authority that the said Ishmeal Nortey Adumuah was installed by the accredited Osu Kinkawe Dzaase led by Nii Saban Atsen VII, and was subsequently suspended due to acts of subversion he committed as the Osu Kinkawe Dzaase and the Osu Stool,” the letter said.
The Dzaase added that it was against the nomination of Ishmael Nortey Adumuah because he was very divisive and had created problems in the all the Four Quarters of the Osu Traditional Area.
The letter also indicated that Ishmael Nortey was involved in all chieftaincy disputes in Osu before the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs and the High Court, Accra, adding that he was creating confusion all over Osu.
